Ok, I’m not done yet. Nor is even the programming side done. However, I have got it to a point where it’s got all the features to demonstrate, just no pretty interface yet. Which is a shame. Still, might get time to do that next week before the showcase.
Ok, so I’ve made progress. I should hope so too as the deadline draws ever closer.
Ok, so, a final update for today. A more technical look at what I’ve been up to and what has been done.
This paper is a comparison of the two definitions of the meme and has some interesting insight into the differences in the different descriptions.
An interesting paper, some of the concepts of which would be complicated to implement in the project, but worth considering nonetheless.
On the face of it, this paper looked interesting, however the example given was maybe not the easiest to understand in terms of the project.
This one isn’t strictly relevant to the creation of the memetic system, however it does help describe how different memetic systems could work and could be implemented in different scenarios
I intend to make two posts about progress so far as there has obviously been a lot in the time. This, the first, will cover the progress on a general level, the second will cover the current AI techniques, the technical problems faced and what the plans are for the following two weeks.
A very interesting paper on the principles of evolution, on how to model full Darwinian evolution
Finally going to put up some more literature reviews. Starting with one comparing aspects of memetic evolution with genetic evolution.
